Ticket bought in Cavite wins P42-M lotto jackpot

A lucky bettor who bought his ticket in Cavite bagged the P42 million jackpot prize in Monday night’s Mega Lotto 6/45 draw.

In an advisory, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the lucky bettor guessed the winning combination of 07-25-08-03-12-05 with a jackpot of P42,282,132.

The winning ticket was bought in Tanza, Cavite. To claim the check, the bettor must go to PCSO’s main office in Mandaluyong City and present the winning ticket and two ID cards.

The Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law provides that lotto winnings of more than P10,000 shall be subject to a 20-percent final tax.

A total of 178 bettors won P32,000 each for guessing five out of the six winning digits; 5,065 will get PHP1,000 each for guessing four correct digits, and 53,875 will settle for P30 each for their three-digit correct guess. Prizes not claimed within a year shall be forfeited.

The Mega Lotto 6/45 is drawn on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This is the seventh time this month that a sole bettor bagged the jackpot prize of the government’s lottery games.

On March 26, a lone bettor from Antipolo City, Rizal bagged the P31-million jackpot of the Lotto 6/42 draw. Last March 20, a bettor who bought a ticket in Manila bagged P79.6 million of the Ultra Lotto 6/58 while another bettor from Legazpi City, Albay guessed the winning combination in the Super Lotto 6/49 draw with a total prize of P67.8 million.

Earlier on March 14, a ticket sold in Negros Occidental won the P98-million jackpot prize of the Grand Lotto 6/55 while on March 5, a bettor from Rizal bagged the P12.5-million jackpot of the Lotto 6/42 draw.

The first lucky bettor this month, from General Trias, Cavite bagged the P8.9-million Mega Lotto 6/45 jackpot prize draw early this month.
