The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has tapped the expertise of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in crafting a comprehensive Civil Aviation Master Plan (CAMP).
Eight aviation experts from EU will work with CAAP in developing the master plan tailored for the Philippines.
“The CAAP is still in the initial stages of crafting the CAMP. The EASA experts will work with CAAP for six months, after which a report will be submitted,” CAAP Information Officer Bea Bernardo told media.
Bernardo said the actual drafting and completion of the master plan is still under discussion.
In a news release, the CAAP said the CAMP “is envisioned as a strategic blueprint to address critical challenges in the Philippine aviation industry while leveraging opportunities for growth and innovation.”
“By strengthening the nation’s aviation infrastructure and capabilities, CAAP aims to position the Philippines as a premier hub for safe, efficient, and sustainable air transport in the ASEAN region,” the CAAP said. (PNA)
