Two lucky bettors became instant millionaires when they won recently the P34,838,186 Lotto 6/42 jackpot price.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the lucky bettors guessed the winning combination 09-10-42-08-13-41 from Thursday night’s draw.
The winning tickets were bought by two bettors in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro and Tanay, Rizal who can claim their checks at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City upon presentation of their winning tickets and identification cards.
Per PCSO rules, lotto winnings of over P10,000 are subject to a 20-percent tax under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law.
A group of 88 other bettors won P24,000 each for guessing five out of the six winning digits; 3,286 will get P800 each for four correct digits, and 48,934 will settle for P20 each for guessing three correct digits.
Lotto prizes not claimed within a year are automatically forfeited. The 6/42 Lotto is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Grand Lotto 6/55 jackpot is estimated to climb up to a whopping P400 million by next Saturday night’s draw. PCSO said there was again no jackpot winner in the last Grand Lotto 6/55draw last Wednesday which yielded a winning combination of 49-06-26-55-03-14 and which carried a jackpot of P367,534,100.
PCSO, however, said 67 bettors came very close to hitting the jackpot prize, correctly guessing five of the six digit winning combination, and winning the second prize of P100,000. The Grand Lotto is drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
