Cebu Pacific increases flights to 4 int’l destinations

MANILA – Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) announced on Monday the increase in frequencies to international destinations in the coming months — Bangkok, Thailand; Da Nang Vietnam; Melbourne, Australia; and Sapporo, Japan.

Flights between Cebu and Bangkok (via Don Mueang) will increase four times weekly, from thrice weekly, beginning Oct. 26.

Starting Oct. 28, CEB will hike the frequency of flights between Manila and Da Nang, from daily to 10 times weekly, offering twice daily flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

From the current thrice weekly, CEB will start operating daily flights between Manila and Sapporo starting Dec. 10.

Flights between Manila and Melbourne will also increase from four to five weekly beginning Dec. 12.

“These additional frequencies reflect Cebu Pacific’s ongoing commitment to provide more accessibility, flexibility, and convenience to our valued passengers. As travel demand continues to rise, these expanded services allow us to better connect Filipinos to the rest of the world and welcome more visitors to the Philippines,” CEB president Xander Lao said in a news release.

The increased connectivity also plays a key role in stimulating tourism, enabling business opportunities and strengthening economic ties with neighbors in the Asia Pacific region, he added.

The Gokongwei-led airline currently services 37 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia and the United Arab Emirates. (PNA)
