Amazon Operation Services Philippines, Inc. (AOSPI) will open its new office in the country next month, September. The Board of Investments (BOI) said it has approved the P524.33 million AOSPI project located in the Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City.
The facility is Amazon’s fourth office in the country after the two in Cebu City and one in Metro Manila. The new AOSPI office will offer such services like information technology (IT) development, remote technical support services, customer support, customer care services, business process outsourcing (BPO), and back-office support.
Trade Undersecretary and BOI managing head Ceferino Rodolfo said AOSPI’s fresh investment reflects the fact that the country remains an attractive destination for IT-BPO investments.
“True indeed, the approval of this project shows we are not faltering in our efforts to advance the IT-BPM (Business Process Management) industry in the country. This is just the start of more investments being injected into the country’s economy, specifically into the IT-BPM industry. We are making it happen in the Philippines,” Rodolfo stressed.
He shared that AOSPI’s virtual customers services (VCS) project will be a 100% work-from-home arrangement.
