The government’s national vaccination drive is now in full swing and gaining momentum which hopefully will ensure the resumption of face-to-face learning session in schools in due time.
At the recent simultaneous inauguration of school buildings at the Gen. Gregorio H. Del Pilar Integrated School and Virginia Ramirez-Cruz High School in Barangay Sta. Ana in Bulakan, Bulacan, President Duterte that his administration is exerting all efforts to push the Covid-19 vaccination program to ensure the safety of students before the resumption of school classes.
In connection with the proposed resumption of face-face-face school classes resumption, the Department of Education (DepEd) said Wednesday students would only be allowed to stay in schools for half a day only should the proposed classes dry run push through.
The pilot run was supposed to have been implemented last January in low-risk areas but was suspended due to the discovery and emergence of new variants of the coronavirus, particularly the more infectious UK variant.
Duterte assured quality education is one of his administration’s top priorities. “Quality education for all Filipinos is one of my administration’s top priorities in the development agenda. As a matter of fact, education gets the highest allocation in the budget yearly,” he said.
