The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) has urged local governments’ disaster units and residents in areas along Typhoon Odette’s course to prepare for the impact of the weather disturbance.
Internationally known as Tropical Storm Rai, Odette is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) Tuesday night.
NDRRMC has warned and advised people residing in the path of the storm to take precautions and comply with safety warnings issued by authorities. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Odette may make landfalls Thursday afternoon or evening over the Eastern Visayas-Caraga regions and Southern Luzon.
