Robredo’s group to thanksgiving rites at Ateneo

Vice President Leni Robredo and her entire Angat Buhay team will hold a thanksgiving event on Friday at the Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) Campus in Quezon City.

Bannered by the theme “Tayo ang Liwanag,” Robredo said the event is meant to extend their thanks and gratitude to all their supporters and volunteers who took the journey with them during the campaign period.

Via the VP Leni Robredo Facebook page, an announcement was made Thursday afternoon on the change of venue from the Quezon Memorial Circle to the AsMU Campus. It said the transfer was due to the refusal of the QC government to grant the group a permit hold the event at its original venue.

“While we are saddened by this (denial), we respect the decision of the city government. We are excited to be with our friends, co-volunteers, supporters, and the rest of the Filipinos at the Ateneo grounds tomorrow),” it added.

On Thursday, Robredo went live via Facebook expressing gratitude to everyone who supported and volunteered during the campaign and inviting them to attend the AdMU event.

She also said she plans to give to her volunteers some of the

Gifts she received during the campaign so they can benefit other people.

Robredo said her Bicol supporters suggest they put up a “Pink Museum” in Naga City where they can keep their most important memorabilia.
