PBBM MAKES HISTORY AS FIRST PH PRESIDENT TO VISIT CAMARINES SUR’S 5TH DISTRICT AFTER 55 YEARS

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. made local history Saturday as the first President who visited the Camarines Sur’s Rinconada district after 55 years, according to Camarines Sur Rep. Miguel Luis Villafuerte on Saturday.

Villafuerte, representing the province’s 5th congressional district, made the remark in accompanying President Marcos in the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Caravan launching in the province.

The simultaneous launching, led by President Marcos in Nabua, Camarines Sur, is the Philippines’ largest service caravan in four provinces in the country aimed at serving underprivileged Filipinos.

The fifth congressional district of Camarines Sur, more popularly known as the Rinconada District, is composed of the Municipalities of Baao, Bula, Balatan, Buhi, Bato, Nabua and Iriga City. It is currently represented in the 19th Congress by Villafuerte, the former governor of the province.

Speaking at a rice distribution event in Iriga City, President Marcos recalled the visit to the area of his father, the late president Ferdinand E. Marcos in 1965.

“So, 1968.
