A member of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) said vaccinated people will likely be given more mobility options than unvaccinated ones when the government revises its protocols after the target number inoculation is achieved,
Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ramon Lopez said the IATF will consider changing lockdown protocols once the optimum vaccination target is achieved.
Future protocols, he said can allow establishments with fully vaccinated workers to open their businesses, and admit fully vaccinated customers. “We could give more mobility to those vaccinated,” he added.
Lopez explained that the principle of vaccination is to provide protection to individuals and not get severe and critical Covid-19 conditions that will lead to hospitalization.
“So, it is important that we get vaccinated. It also means we can relax the protocols for those already vaccinated. For their own protection, those not vaccinated should better stay at home” he advised.
Lopez encouraged Filipinos to get the Covid-19 jabs for the country to gradually reopen the economy.
