Voters can now register in selected Robinson Malls

Starting July 16, voters may now register in registration centers in selected Robinsons malls across the country, based on a schedule set by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez said there will be voter registration booths set up in 16 Robinsons malls nationwide.

“We are happy to announce that there are now 16 planned mall registration booths where applicants can enjoy a more accessible and convenient registration process,” he said in a statement.

Voter registration on July 16 and 17 will be held at Level 2, near the Food Alley of Robinsons Place Lipa City in Batangas.

Registrations will also be held in the same venue on July 23-24 and 30-31; August 6-7 and 13-17. The time of registration will be announced.

The registration in Robinsons Place Ormoc, Level 2 will be on July 17 and 24 from 10 am. .to 3 p.m., while the atrium of Robinsons Place Dumaguete will host voter registration on July 17 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Robinsons Imus in Cavite will hold its registration activities on July 19 – Sept. 30 at Level 4, near Lingkod Pinoy center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The scheduled voter registrations at Level 2 of Robinsons Place Santiago in Isabela and Level 4 of Robinsons Malolos are set from July 30 to 31, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In the National Capital Region (NCR), three Robinsons Malls will be participating — Robinsons Otis on July 31, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., venue to be announced; Robinsons Novaliches on Aug. 20 and Sept. 18 at the Trade Hall from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Robinsons Place Manila on Aug. 28 at Level 4, Pedro Gil Cinema from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Robinsons Place Tagum in Davao del Norte will hold voter registration at its main atrium from Aug. 6 to 7 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. while the Level 3 of Robinsons Place Bacolod in Negros Occidental will be the venue of voter registration from Aug. 20 to 21 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For the whole month of September, Robinsons Place Valencia in Bukidnon will be accepting applicants at Level 3 near Food Gallery from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. while from September 1 to 15, Robinsons Place Iligan in Lanao del Norte will accept registrants at its main atrium from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Two malls in Cebu — Robinsons Cybergate and Robinsons Galleria — will hold their registration activities on Sept. 1, 18 and 28, at the ground floor from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sept. 27-30 at Level 3 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., respectively.

From Sept. 20 to 30, Robinsons Place GenSan in South Cotabato will hold its registration activity at the mall atrium from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“The public is reminded that a limited number of applicants will be accepted daily due to various considerations, such as mall hours and strict adherence to health protocols,” Jimenez added.

Application forms will be available for free at the booths. They may also be downloaded at comelec.gov.ph, or accomplished online at irehistro.comelec.gov.ph.

He added that for application forms filled out via the Comelec mobile registration app, only the QR code is to be presented. Applicants should also bring at least one valid ID.

The last day of voter registration is on September 30. (PNA)
