DOR report: PH Covid-19 recovery tally now stands at 1.4M with 4K new survivors

In its latest case bulletin on Thursday, the Department of Health (DOH) has reported that Covid-19 recoveries account for 95.2% of the country’s total caseload which has reached 1,490,665, after 5,221 new Covid-19 cases were logged.

These new infections brought the number of active cases in the country to 45,495 of which number, about 91.4% are mild, 2.1% are asymptomatic, 1.7% are critical, 2.8% are severe, and 1.96% are moderate.

Some 82 new deaths were also reported, pushing the country’s total number of Covid-19 fatalities to 26,314.

To date, the bulletin said 56% of the 3,500 intensive care unit beds, 46% of the 19,600 isolation beds, 42% of the 12,100 ward beds, and 39% of the 2,800 ventilators dedicated to Covid-19 patients are in use nationwide.

In Metro Manila, 42% of 1,100 intensive care unit beds, 39% of 4,700 isolation beds, 33% of 3,400 ward beds, and 35% of 1,000 ventilators dedicated Covid-19 patients are in use.
